Have you seen a baby that is learning to walk?
When we were younger, it's easier to trust other people. Just like those babies that are learning to walk. They hold tight to the hand of an adult, and trust that, that adult won't let go and let them fall.
Trusting God seems to be easier when we were younger. As we grow... we gained knowledge, have understanding... and sometimes find it hard to trust God. Because we begin to reason... at times struggle in trusting God.
Gen 22:6-10
... Abraham placed the wood for the burnt offering on Issac's shoulders, while he himself carried the knife and the fire. As the two if them went on together, Isaac said, "Father?"
"Yes, my son," Abraham replied.
"We have the wood and the fire, "said the boy, "but where is the lab for the sacrifice?"
"God will provide a lamp, my son," Abraham answered. And they both went on together.
When they arrived at the place where God had told Abraham to go, he built an altar and placed the wood on it. Then he tied Isaac up and laid him on the altar over the wood. And Abraham took the knife and lifted it up to kill his son as a sacrifice to the Lord. At that moment the angle of the Lord....
In this verse it's does not only shows Abraham's obedience being tested... but also show that Isaac, trusted his father when his father told him that God will provide.
When Abraham tied him up, the bible did not say that Isaac tried to escape... if I were Isaac, I would have asked my father... "eh, what are you doing?" I believe, Isaac did not doubt his father's word.
I want to trust Him more.
If you continue to read on, God provided for Abraham... and Isaac did not become the sacrifice. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul and all things will be added unto you.

It's all about faith. =] Many times we find hard to trust because we live by our sight. We choose to trust in the worldly "facts" instead of God. It happens to us sometimes, and i think at that moment we should reflect on the good thing God has been done for us. When acknowledge He is a good God,it never been hard to lay our trust onto Him anymore. ^^
Yangy: yup yup... agree... we are so filled wth facts... those facts at time stop us from trusting God.
Oh no! yangy first!
Can i share something? hehe
I'd like to ask a question, How do we live by faith? or how is it so easy for Abraham to put his trust in God's hand.
I don't think Abraham would just say "Ok! since ur God, i will trust in you" i think Abraham still carries the burden of the world but how can he trust God so easily?
Abraham too had walk his relationship with God. If you rewind back his life, the highlight of his FAITH is based on his walk with God. God changed his name God mold him and God provided but he didnt have plain sailing in his life.
He too went through trails and tribulations hence his walk /faith with God is perfected. Abraham is what he is in the passage because he walk with God.
Haha sorry i just tought of sharing coz this idea just popped up.
