Damai @ 31 Aug 2010

It was a good climb, although I only did 1 route... on top rope. As much as I wanted to lead I was watching my knee and being very careful. After CYW I can go all out and try a few fall =p

Eu Gene was super cute! He wanted to be part of the photography team as well. Eu Gene is only 2 years old, and yes he is an adventurous boy. Leong took care of him most of the time =) and Leong also gets to practice his mandarin.

It was David, Julie and Balan 1st time climbing outdoor... so proud of them, for 1st timer, i think they did well.
Why do I love climbing?

1. It kept me focus... sometime fear creeps in, but because i wanted to finish the "race" I kept climbing and eventually overcome the fear. Sometimes I do finish a route with great fear... but I did it =)

2. Having people around. There are times where I just wanted to give up. Telling myself, it's too difficult for me. I won't be able to do it. But other climbers will not let me give up. They will keep asking me to try. More experience climber show / teach me how to do it... and later on, I look at the same route again, try to study and remember how the other person do it.... and started climbing again. There routes that I climb numerous time before I am able to conquer it. Climbing taught me not to give up.

Yes, perseverance it's difficult... to fail... not just once but many time is discouraging, but someone once said, "failure is a steps closer to your dream."

Just like climbing, there are many ways to climb. You can learn from other experience climber, but most time I realised... their ways may not be suitable for me. I tried to imitate them, but at the end of the day, I still have to find my way...

Okay, have to stop talking about climbing... I have been banned from climbing till I recover from my knee injury.
