For some reason, I love this pic. Not that it's a very nice pic...
but I just love the boy's smile.
He looks happy =)

New Year Eve

Most of the people i know are now on their way to somewhere for the new year celebration.
I can't help but to think about... "Why do people celebrate?" and "What about those that are in poverty?"

Beggars on the street, those children, women, that are being force into prostitution, labor that work so hard but underpaid. do they have anything to celebrate. No, the question would be... do they even know that HOPE exist?

I know I know is a time of celebration, not suppose to be thinking about all these thing, but I can't help it. It's in my head. I feel for those people out there.

Don't worry I am not emo when I blog this. Just a thought that came to my mind.

If "My Home" do come true, I wonder how it will be like.

Make your 2010 count =) inspired by AL

30 Dec 2009

I am going to do the usual stuff that people do during year end. Reflection. Let's see what I had in 2009.
Digging through my memories... everything seems so vague. The year seems to just pass me by.

Remembered on my birthday an anonymous person wrote me this on a card
"Remember don't count the years but make them count. Stay close to Him and  you will notice He is near. God loves you"

Make my year count... I hope I am giving my best in Year 2009. I don't think it's my best year, but I must say it's a year of growth. Gone through more difficult challenges. Stretch myself like never before.

Make my year count. 2010, shall be better.

LG Gathering

 Here's our family portrait heheheh....

Had LG Christmas gathering at my house.
Mom being mom, she just worried her girl not able to manage things... kept coming to the kitchen to check on us... I think she is just making sure that her kitchen is still in tack =p

It's just a small, simple gathering... Pete was the cook for the night. He makes cooking look easy. Well me I am clueless about cooking. And according to Pete, I am not a good shopping companion when come to buying food, because I m seriously CLUELESS. Not sure how much vege, meat etc etc is needed to prepare a dish. So conclusion is... My knowledge about food is just NICE or NOT NICE hahaha

It was fun be at the kitchen pretend that i know what am i doing. hahaha ok i just watch pete cook and running around, getting extra stuff and picking people.

The gathering was coordinate and prepare by the BOYS. We gals just sit back and enjoy. hehehehe

Jeyna made mash potatoes... it was yuumy
Dom and Amanda made salad.
Joel pineapple punch... very refreshing, i like

We playes some 80's games... accompanied by 80's song.. was cool.
oh oh... and Amanda prepared a "Amanda Endurance" game. Neil was asked to lick jude's ear. It was yuck!!! That was part of the game.

Jeyna's idea on gift exchange was good... something different. I like it.

Will upload pictures later, once i got the pic from Joel.

Creative LG AWESOMENESSSSSSSSS. Can't asked for better LG

My Christmas

The crew was at Bukit Jalil Hall as early as 4am to set-up.
The band arrived at 730am to do sound check.
The dancers arrived at 830am for rehearsal.
The drama team arrived at 930am for rehearsal.

Ushers arrived at 945am to prepare the gifts for our guest, things to give out to the congregation.
and the door opens at 1015am.

The seats was slowly filled up. Really glad to have combine celebration. To have Eaglepoint Damansara, 5pm service, SNL, English service and Chinese Service to come together... it was awesome!

1a.m. relent started the Christmas celebration with Praise & Worship. They lead us into some Christmas carol. While the dancers and actors/actresses get ready back stage.

We end our praise and worship with "How Can I keep From Singing" that's where dancers came in to join the band =)

Then we had some announcements and after that PC introduce the play called "The Gift".
 _______________________________________________________
The dram team really put up a fantastic show.
Personally, "The Gift" was the best drama this year. It touches the heart of people (at least it touches me =p ) and the message was clear and i felt it was real.

Glad to see Trisha! miss her so much.

After service, went for lunch with my kaki spend the whole afternoon in Italiannies, then have dinner with family and catch a midnight movie with friends.
Really have not lepak with friends for a long time. Just enjoy each other company with no agenda.

Merry??? Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!

Alright, I am not that excited about it.
It's suppose to be MERRY, but I am not Merry at all. Do not know what is wrong with me.

Either I am too tired and it affects my emotion or I just plainly being emo. I really do not know.
All of sudden, I just felt left out. Alright I am still young. Part of me still wants to have fun. Hanging out with friends, just chilling.

It has been a long time since I last chilled out with my friends, being myself and just enjoy each other company.

Alright, alright... MS LEE cut it! Get over it! Face it and move on!

5M

We were so young back then.

Thank you Sharon

Thank you Sharon.
She is a women with many talents. can't sit still... she got to do something.

Life

Visited a friend's dad in Hospital. Reminds so much of my grandmother.
It really hurts to see someone in pain, yet you can't do anything. Feel so helpless. All you can do is just be there... try to take care of them. At times you really do not know what's your feeling. Feel extremely numb and lost.

Facing with those that are there, we do not have words to say to them. All we can do is just be there.

Since the day my grandma passed away, I realized that I need to live a larger life. Life that's not solely focus on i, me and myself...

Life is too short to just live for ourselves
Life is too short for us to chase after wealth
Life is too short to just think of what makes us feel good

Life is better live with others in mind.

25

I am thankful to God, for the great 25 years that He has given to me.

I do not come from a very well off family. My dad passed away when I was still in my mother's womb. Yes, every year during this time I miss my daddy badly. Alright, that's not the point.

The point is.... I want to thank God for all the challenges in my life. Those challenges have caused me to grow and made me stronger.

Thank God for mom. She is my hero. Small in size but has a courage of a mountain. She's an overcomer! Overcome the sorrows... and challenges. She raise up above all difficulties, to raised my siblings and I.

Thank God for my aunt and uncle, for letting me stay with them.

Thank God for GREAT Leaders and people around me. Love me enough to correct me and tells me the truth, even though it hurts sometimes.

Thank God for LiAnn, my first friend in KL. Still remember those days where we were like chicken and duck. It's amazing how children communicate. We have come a long way.

Thank God for Fun. She's there with me since the day i stepped into High School. She took the initiative to be-friend me.

Thank God for Aunty KimKee for bringing me to church.

Thank God for Ally and Ian. Encouraging and giving me the strength to pull through during my depressed season.

Thank God for KaChe, for not giving up on me and still choose to love eventhough I rebelled and hurt her many times.

Thank God for PsTim and Steven, for the grace and the fatherly love.

Thank God for PC, for her thoughtfulness and being an example in my life. The women that I look up to and admire.

Thank God for Sharon's Discipleship group for teaching me how to love. These girls are amazing!

Thank God for 1a.m. Dance (includes Ina, Vitz, Doris, Pri, Jay, Trish...etc) We may not be the best dancers in town, but we are UNITED

Thank God for Creative Life, for dreaming together. Creative Life... the awesome-mest!

Greatful that He put me in a community, teaching me serve and to love.
You... Yes.... all of you that I know adds colors in my life. Life will never be the same without you. You have made my life meaningful... I thank God for all of you =)

Jesus vs Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

Child sponsorship

I am really glad that I took up child sponsorship during the last ONE LIFE exhibition. It brings such joy whenever I received card or letter from my girl. She is such a blessing to me.

She is doing well in her studies. And I thank God that she is a healthy girl. She turns 12 this year... Hopefully able to meet her one day.

Thank YOU Tham a.k.a THUMB

Was very encouraged when I saw this, this morning.
Saw Tham drawing this on his new drawing tablet.

Those who are weary, cast your weariness upon Jesus.

Matthew11
28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

When God Introduces His Son...

What comes to your mind when you see
1. COKE?
2. Maggi Mee?
3. Nike?
4. North Korea?
5. Sodom / Gomorah?
6. World Trade Centre?
7. Gold Coast?
8. Michael Jordon?
9. Tiger Woods?

How God introduce Christ?
Mat 16:13-15

Isa 9:6
For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the governmnet shall be on His Shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor. The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

When God introduce christ, he introduce him as; Wonderful Counselor. The MIGHTY God, The EVERLASTING Father and The PRINCE of Peace.

To those who needs advice... He is The WONDERFUL counselor. To those who needs breakthrough, strength... etc... He is the MIGHTY God. To those who needs a father, He is the EVERLASTING Father. To those who needs Peace, He is the PRINCE of Peace.

There's nothing too big that Christ can't handle. He is who God says He is.

the way home

It has been quite an interesting journey this season. It's entirely new journey.
I was overwhelm with all the happenings, no time a lot of things.

Each day, waking up feeling tired. Felt so lost... I knew something wasn't right with me.
Yes I know I am exhausted... I am tired mentally, and my heart feels heavy. Never did I thought that I have lost the joy of serving. It has become a dread for me to attend church service, be a volunteer at "The Heavenly Gift". All I wanted to do is to be in my room.

Didn't realized that i have almost forgotten the way home.
The message that Pastor shared last night was like a wake up call for me. To remind me the way back home. Back to the Father.

At the end of the service, I cried like a baby. (manz call that paip bocor =p)
I found my way back to my Father... He, patiently waiting for me.
Not striving, or being too hard on myself. but just taking a walk with my Father.

PC reminded me to stay SIMPLE.
The way back home is SIMPLE as well.

The Heavenly Gift - IOI MALL Day 8

wow, already the 8th day since we last launch it on Dec 4.

Since today is a public holiday for Selangor, Station 1 - angel's gift pack operates from 11am-10pm.

What?? Station??

Well, in this Project.... we are divided into 3 stations
Station 1 - angel's gift pack: We provide FREE gifts wrapping services
Station 2- Pick a gift: where we put up needs of poor families and also children wishes from various orphanage, and we allow shoppers to sponsors a child or a poor family
Station 3 - Be an angel: It's were we encourage shoppers to join hands with community at heart by being a volunteer for different community projects.

Today's "business" was pretty good. Tho New wing doesn't close many profiles, but at least station 1 quite good business.
Since today we have more then enough people, i have the chance to "loiter" heheheh and i tried to go around telling people about free gift wrapping service that we provide as well as encouraging the shoppers to sponsor a child or a family.

These are some of the responds i get:
1. Not interested
2. I also need help
3. Will think about it
4. I will come back
5. some take a look at the tree and walked away...
6. hmmmmm

well, gift wrapping good business... but i didn't manage to "sell" any of the profiles =(
Just answers a few questions... that's all =( how sad.

Overall, I see that actually our community is quite giving. Given a platform to give, and bless others, they would do it. I am encouraged to see many shoppers giving to the poor and the needy.

If you are around Puchong, do drop by our booth in IOI Mall. =)
You can also feed yourselves with some very delicious food from NEXT STOP or ASAM HOUSE.

indon indon

Alright Mel, i m gonna blog about indon trip.
Guess what i dreamt about me going to the safari again! this is insane, i think i really miss the safari. hehehe

went to indonesia early Nov. and the best part was, when i was there, i fall ill. bummer! i was "bed ridden" for a day. but it's all good. i still enjoy myself for the days that i m well.

First Day

Breakfast at MacD. Yes, i actually love  MacD's breakfast. But but but i didn't order anything cuz it's still early and my stomach is not awake yet =p

Love flying early in the morning. You will get beautiful view... nice kan?

He-lo indonesia. We bring greetings from Malaysia

Hungry, we need to stop somewhere for lunch!
1st day lunch, not use to the cooking style, find it too oily for me.
so i ended up eating white rice and egg.
On our way to....

look at the map... it's a map of SAFARI! this is the best and the most exciting part of the trip. alright, that just me. love to see animals.

some pictures that i took. wanna see more pic?? click here.
we spend the whole day at the safari. The place is REALLY HUGGGGGEEEE. You can get lost in it.

for the first time, i have close encounter with this creature. so tempted to touch it, but i am afraid that it will bite my hands off. i feel this tiger looks a bit tame. feel so sissy =( but it definitely knows how to pose =p

and i saw this...

Yes Camel!!! didn't know that they are so HUGE! and have curly hair. I always think camel's hair are straight. muahhahaha

and i am kinda afraid of....

elephant. my cousin was cool with it. but me... i feel so tiny standing beside this creature. but they are really cool.

I always wanted to see penguin! and guess what God is good... being able to see this cute little thing, it really make my day!

as you walk, you will have these birdie flying around. it's really nice.

Cowboy show was really well done! although the sound system is a bit lousy, but I thought the show was fantastic!
Note for cowboys: scrap off shit from shoes before entering. (i didn't make this up! =p)

and we continue walking. we now enter the reptile zone
Actually it's really nice to walk around. it's not hot. it's like Genting. i really enjoy the walk. but my the rest complain like crazy. Me just ignore them and enjoy myself. take my own sweet time to walk and talk pictures.

alright, there's no picture of snakes cuz i m really afraid of them. i by pass the snakes area.

thn... i saw my fav animal.

they are so elegant looking... love it!!!
but quite stinky tho =( it's ok i still love them =p

most of the places in the safari, they have this... all different design. I love it hehehe Stop smoking people! =p

Dolphin show! awww they so adorable...
didn't know they are called lumba-lumba in malay. i know, a bit sesat right. hahahah

ok, i m tired already... let's check in.
It's not a 5 start hotel, but i think it's the brilliant hotel. nice place to stay in.
cuz, it has...

nice view. fresh air. now i missing that place.
by the way, this is at Puncak.

Day 2.

we were on our way to Bandung.
Stopped by for Coconut to quench our thirst. Coconut not that awesome la. still like OUR coconut.

see what i found!! this is so classic. remember having lotz of those when i was younger, in my mom's coffee shop. so classic.

we stopped by strawberries farm.

oh oh... before i forget.. these people are prepare tape (i think that's the spelling...) tape is... erm... erm... yam marinate with alcohol i think. not sure

Woo hoo lunch time. This is a lot better then 1st day meal.

arrived at our destination. Tangkupan perahu. Valcono area.
it was my first time entering valcono area. It's really smelly. but it's cold there. nice air. after a while you kinda get use to the smell so it's alright.

the vendor there will do anything and everything to have you buy thier things. Had conversation with one of the local. He walked 12km or more to be here. just to earn some living. to do business there, you need to get approval. and you are scheduled at different time. only get to do biz there 4 times a month. things there are cheap tho. but me being me, not so interested with the merchant, i forgot that i need to buy souvenir. muahhaha i m captivated by the surrounding. and the people there. while my gang were shopping, i was talking to one of the ladies that was doing business there. one of her child is studying in Malaysia. oh well... heehehe

then we head to hot water spring. I thought i took pictures of it.. but i can't find it in my folder =( i hope i didn't delete it.

bandung it's really a shopping heaven! things are cheap there.
but, I am looking forward to meet Peggy! That's the best thing in Bandung. Peggy!
Miss her a lot. Her dad drove her to where i was staying. can't remember the name of the hotel.

Day 3

We are back in Jakarta. First stop MINI Indonesia. Really dun like this place. oh well... i didn't plan the trip just go with the flow...
OK, not much pictures on the 3rd day. because i started to get really sick. and eventually we have to check in, because i am really really sick already.
We stayed in Trinity Hotel. Not bad... new hotel, have a little bit of Hotel Maya Concept. but I still prefer Hotel Maya. ( i know i know, i am biase =P )
I spend the rest of the day resting, can't even get up from the bed.
Others went shopping and the gals head to the nearby mall for shopping.
I was a bit sad because didn't get to meet up with Evelyn. To be honest, the very thing that i am looking forward to was to meet peggy and evelyn.

Day 4

Final stop.
The only thing i look forward to in this place was 4D show. hehehe
Yes, final stop before heading to airport. Dufan, i think it's call fantasy world. Would love to go for the rides, but we do not have time for that. so yeah... nothing impressive in there.

said bye bye to indonesia =(

I wish could sit in there.

I am too excited and captivated by the lights. forgot that we are not allowed to turn on any electronic devices. heheheh i just SS la (Syok Sendiri)

Overall it was a fun trip. i was thinking about next destination when i was boarding. I told my cousin that i feel like buying a flight ticket on the spot and fly again heheheh
