Jan 24 - G2KU

It's the first G2KU of the year.

Although this wasn't the first time I am doing it, but every time when I run G2KU I will be extremely nervous.

Was feeling super nervous today. My hands shivered... ended drawing on my run sheet. I hope my pastor didn't see that.

Thanks to all the volunteers - kent, Yin Teng, Chong, CheeWei, Faith, Jasmine, Nakilia and others... have helped making G2KU a success.

I hope those who attend G2KU were bless.

Inspired by Jaeson Ma

I started reading Jaeson Ma's blog recently.
KaChe introduce Jaeson Ma to me last year I think. The only thing I know about him is that, he is Christian. A BOLD one =)

Couple weeks back Siang Chin tweet about Jaeson Ma's 365 days of love. Yup, that gotten my attention. Almost everything Jaeson will blog about what he did to show love.

Reading his blog really inspires me. Here's the blog that really encourage me.
I hope by reading his blog you will be encourage as well.

Love. anybody?

365 days of love.

grrr... it's not funny

I think I woke up at the wrong side of the bed.
Throughout the day, I am just just feeling uneasy.
Was annoyed by little things.

Don't even know what am I thinking.
I am just not comfortable... my back and shoulder is as stiff as rock.
My heart is burdened, unsettled.

Belong

What do you understand about belong?

be⋅long
[bi-lawng, -long]
–verb (used without object)
1. to be in the relation of a member, adherent, inhabitant, etc. (usually fol. by to): He belongs to the Knights of Columbus.
2. to have the proper qualifications, esp. social qualifications, to be a member of a group: You don't belong in this club.
3. to be proper or due; be properly or appropriately placed, situated, etc.: Books belong in every home. This belongs on the shelf. He is a statesman who belongs among the great.
4. belong to,
a. to be the property of: The book belongs to her.
b. to be a part or adjunct of: That cover belongs to this jar.

Was having a conversation with Ka Che.
She said something about belong that totally changed my perspective on "Belong".

Belong means you are part of something, and weather you feel belong or not is totally up to you. You first have to decide that you want to be part of something. Then you OWN it, regardless of weather you feel you are needed or not. YOU play your part.

"CROOKED" is back!

Crooked is back!!! gosh!

Crooked LYRICS

Verse 1

Born in a crooked world
Living in a crooked place
Doesn't anybody see what I see, I see

Is everybody blind
Or we all have crooked eyes
Gotta re-check, eject everything that's worthless

Chorus

Down in the ground
No you don't want to be dragged down
With your face down, with your face down
Gotta stand up straight
Better pick up the pace
The road ain't wide
Are we walking the same page?

Verse 2

Drove on crooked lane
Saw a crooked old man
Sitting by the crooked thrash can
Begging crooked cash
And all the crooked leather suit guys
Passed the crooked man
Some gave crooked cents
Some just walked past by
With their crooked girlfriends
Carrying their crooked shopping bags
In these crooked hard times
Being crooked is the life
We've traded everything that's right
To satisfy our crooked needs
Gotta eject everything that's worthless

Bridge

Make straight your ways
The better things in life, ain't here
Its on the other side
Fix your crooked life, Fix your crooked life

Verse 3

In my crooked mind
Laid a crooked old plan
Where I was freakin' crooked rich
And got a crooked house with a crooked car
Plan a crooked party and invite my crooked friends
But then I woke up feeling crooked in my crooked bed
Got a crooked heart and a crooked soul
And just like me you're crooked and you don't know where to go
Crooked for life is a stupid crooked plan
Gotta recheck, eject everything that's worthless

Coda:

Crooked heart, crooked mind
Crooked love, crooked time
Crooked house, crooked cars
Crooked Job, crooked friends
Crooked dreams, crooked hope
Crooked Faith, crooked Soul
Etc, Etc, gotta eject them (down)

Position

Was reminded by what Pastor shared during one of the service. "Get the first button right"

It's still the beginning of the year. Still have time to make things right.

Starting right is very important. Just like wearing a shirt. Put the first button right, then everything will be right.

How am I going to position myself to take on 2010; depends on ME. The ball is in my court.

I need to position myself in...

1. Thinking right.
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

2. Pray more
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

3. Have others in mind (thinking of you) / serve willingly
Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve...
John 21:15
[ Jesus Reinstates Peter ] When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
John 21:16
Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."
John 21:17
The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

just for laughter

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and  are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and  now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm  while these exchanges were actually taking place.

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said  to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said , 'Where am I, Cathy?'
ATTORNEY:  And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is  Susan!
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: What  gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
WITNESS: Gucci sweats and  Reeboks.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are  you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie  there.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: This  myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS:  Yes.
ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS: I  forget.
ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you  forgot?
___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you  know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo?
WITNESS: We both  do.
ATTORNEY: Voodoo?
WITNESS: We do.
ATTORNEY: You do?
WITNESS:  Yes, voodoo.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY:  Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't  know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the  bar exam?
____________________________________

ATTORNEY: The  youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS: He's 20, much like  your IQ.
___________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Were  you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Are you shitting  me?
_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: So the date  of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And  what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS: Getting  laid!
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: She had  three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were  boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
WITNESS: Your  Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new  attorney?
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: How  was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by  whose death was it terminated?
WITNESS: Take a  guess.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Can  you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a  beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?
WITNESS: Unless the Circus  was in town I'm going with  male.
_____________________________________

ATTORNEY: Is your  appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to  your attorney?
WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to  work.
______________________________________

ATTORNEY: Doctor, how  many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All of  them. The live ones put up too much of a  fight.
_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: ALL your  responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS:  Oral.
_________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Do you  recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started  around 8:30 PM.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS:  If not, he was by the time I  finished.
____________________________________________

ATTORNEY: Are  you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask  that question?
______________________________________

And  last:

ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check  for a pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood  pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for  breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the  patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How  can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my  desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been  alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been  alive and practicing law.

My 1st iranian food

Went out with KK & Mana. They are the one introduce me to Iranian food.

Since we are early, we decided to chill at coffee bean.

this the restaurant, NAAB

Before the meal, they will serve you with Lemon + Mint instead of normal warm water.

Time to decide what we wanna eat =p

Mana and I we ordered this
and KK ordered...

this =) some yogurt thingy.

Look at the amount of food!!! It's scary! So MUCH!

The rice! It's not what we usually seen.
Wonder what's the butter for? It's for for the rice.
Put the butter under the rice, let it melt then mixed them together.

ta-da!! we manage to finish all the food!!! nah, not really...
but we must end our meal with dessert right???

Decided not to go for Iranian dessert. So this was perfect =)

Besides the good food, we enjoyed each other company.

freezing ~_~

I am FREEZING.

Where I am sitting, it's totally not a good place for me.

Cold!!! Super COLD!

Arise! Arise!

How long do you want to stay in bed?

That's the sentence that kept repeating itself in my mind.

It's time to wake up...

hopefully...

My whole being is so disturb by the great dances!!! (in a good way)

After a long break from indulging myself with SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, I now pick it up again. I was really inspired by their commitment in the movement. It was full of energy and it flow from inside out. It was just awesome and it messes me up! But I kinda like it.

I would love to say that I am a good dancers, but unfortunately I CAN'T! Watching those fantastic dancers out there it does inspired me to stand up on my feet and be a better dancer. (I HOPE)

Hopefully someday I can call myself a dancer. Hopefully...

fwd

What did I bring forward from 2009?
I brought forward some bruises. Some are recovering, some are still fresh. Those bruises did taught me a lot though.

Not too sure how long would it take for all the bruises to recover, but I am sure given time it will recover, and I will be able to dance and climb again.

Dance with me, will you?
